What to do in an emergency
Call casualty or an ambulance
Say the patient’s age, what happened, and where you are. If the patient is already in a vehicle, start driving and call on the way.
Come to the casualty entrance

Tell the casualty desk what happened
The duty doctor assesses the patient. One family member should stay with the patient; others can handle registration.
What to bring
- The medicines the patient takes, or their strips
- Old prescriptions and reports
- Photo ID of the patient
- Ayushman, CGHS, ESIC or insurance card
